Nadège Abadie
Silences d’exils is a human and poetic experience. From 2016 to 2019, Nadège Abadie and Marina Skalova offered writing and photography workshops to men and women exiled in Switzerland. Their work explores language and its loss, speech and its absence, silence and disappearance. In this subtle interweaving, the bursts of multilingual voices evoke the author’s memories and the photographer’s gaze. Their artistic gestures converge to record the passages, to express the loss. While asking the question: what remains?
